Admiral William Stokes Rees, C.B., Royal Navy, Retired (20 January, 1853 – 20 July, 1929) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career
Captain
For his services in Benin, Rees was specially promoted to the rank of Captain on 25 May, 1897.[1]
Retirement
He was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 22 June, 1909.[2] On 19 May, 1912, he was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List.[3] He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 24 October, 1915.[4]
