Admiral SIR William Fane de Salis, K.B.E., M.V.O., Royal Navy, Retired (21 July, 1858 – 23 January, 1939) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

De Salis was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1895, at the age of thirty-six years, eleven months, and nine days.[1]

Captain

De Salis was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1901.[2]

De Salis was appointed to the Juno on 26 January, 1904.[3]

Great War

On 6 March, 1915, De Salis was granted a temporary Commission as a Captain in the Royal Naval Reserve.[4]

Post-War

De Salis was knighted and appointed a Knight Commander in the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) on 30 December, 1922.[5]
