Colonel William Butler Remey, (1840 – 20 January, 1895) served in the United States Marine Corps and served over twelve years as the U.S. Navy's first Judge Advocate General, ending in 1892.

Life & Career

Remey entered the Navy in 1861.

He passed away at the "Somerville Insane Asylum".
