William Avern

Commander R.N.R. (retired) William Avern, R.S.C., R.D., R.N.R. (23 July, 1883 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Avern was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 August, 1915.[1]

Demobilised on 30 June 1919, Avern was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 2 August, 1923.[2]

Avern was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 23 July, 1928.[3]
