Lieutenant-Commander (retired) Walter Solomon Smith, (29 July, 1890 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Smith served in the armoured cruiser Devonshire, the light cruiser Yarmouth and the destroyer Morris during the Great War.

Smith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 February, 1919.

He was placed on the Retired List as medically unfit on 23 August, 1920.

Smith was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 15 February, 1927.
