Captain (retired) Walter Hose, C.B.E., R.N., R.C.N. (2 October, 1875 – ) served in the Royal Navy and the Royal Canadian Navy, in which he rose to the rank of Rear-Admiral..

Life & Career
Hose was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1897.
Hose was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1908.
Loaned, initially, to Canada for service in their navy, Hose retired from the Royal Navy at his own request on 8 February, 1912. He would continue to serve with Canada, however.
Post-War
Hose was promoted to the rank of Captain on 2 October, 1920.
Hose was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 30 June, 1934 and placed on the Retired List the following day.
