Captain (retired) Walter Colin Lucas, (11 March, 1883 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Lucas was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1904.

Lucas was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 September, 1912.

Appointed to Highflyer in September 1913 and as her first and gunnery officer on 14 September, 1915 (1913?). Lucas was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1916 and was superseded in Highflyer on 13 April, 1917. In June, he was sent to the Intelligence Division, Trade section. In mid August, he was made a staff officer there, second grade.

Retired at his own request on 6 June 1922.

World War II

Lucas was promoted to the rank of Captain on 9 May, 1946.
