Captain Vincent Byrne Cardwell, O.B.E., R.N., Retired (28 May, 1886 – 20 September, 1955) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Edgbaston and raised by his mother.

Cardwell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1907.

Cardwell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1915.

Post-War

Cardwell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1921.

Cardwell was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 28 May, 1932.
