U.S.S. Conner was one of six Caldwell class destroyers completed for the U.S. Navy.
Service
Conner was commissioned on 12 January, 1918 Commander Alfred G. Howe in command. She took an active part in wartime convoy operations, in July twice helping rescue survivors of submarine attack.
She would serve in the Royal Navy in World War II as H.M.S. Leeds.
