Admiral SIR Thomas Sturges Jackson, K.C.V.O., Royal Navy (6 March, 1842 – 9 September, 1934) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Early Life & Career

Jackson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 1 November, 1873.[1]

He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 14 October, 1881.[2]

He was appointed command of Colossus on 9 May, 1890.[3]

Flag Rank

Jackson was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 20 October, 1896, vice Stewart.[4] On 7 July, 1899, he was appointed Admiral Superintendent of Devonport Dockyard.[5]

He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 24 January, 1902, vice Fane.[6]

On 14 March, 1902, he was appointed a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.).[7]

He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 5 July, 1905, vice Brackenbury.[8] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, 1903, he was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 22 July.[9]
