Captain Thomas Peere Williams Nesham, (30 September, 1843 – 1 May, 1900) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Nesham was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 9 November, 1864.

In mid-September, 1875, Nesham was specially mentioned in despatches for service in command of Rocket's anti-pirate party on the Congo Expedition.

Nesham was specially promoted to the rank of Commander on 3 October, 1876 for services in [illegible].

Nesham was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1884.

Nesham commanded the second class protected cruiser Arethusa in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1890. His ship acted as part of Fleet Number 2 which represented a hypothetical Hostile Fleet attacking British trade routes.[1]
