Commander (retired) Thomas Charles Alexander Heathcote Ouchterlony, R.N. (23 October, 1888 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Thomas Heathcote Ouchterlony, who served in the British Army was born in Carmyllie, Forfarshire (Angus), Scotland.[1]

Ouchterlony was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1910.

Ouchterlony was appointed in command of the submarine A 6 on 8 February, 1913.[2]

On 27 August, 1913, Ouchterlony was appointed in command of the submarine B 7.[3]

Ouchterlony was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1918.[4]

Ouchterlony was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 25 October, 1929.

World War II

Served in training duties near the Clyde from 1943.
