Lieutenant-Commander Thomas Campbell MacGill, (29 April, 1886 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

MacGill was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1908.[1]

On 10 March, 1914, he was appointed to the Sharpshooter Class torpedo gunboat Skipjack, serving under Commander Lionel G. Preston.[2]

Great War

His time in Skipjack continued into the War, and she was soon serving as a flagship for the Mine Sweeping Flotilla.

MacGill was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1916.[3] On 3 August, 1917, he was appointed to President as part of the staff of the Mine Sweeping Division.[4]

Post-War

On 6 September, 1919, MacGill was appointed to Egmont for work in Malta, possibly working to coordinate with the Royal Naval Reserve.[5]
