Does "Wake was superseded in command of Formidable " mean that he was replaced as captain or passed over as such and never held the role? Tone 17:06, 29 February 2012 (EST)
- Replaced as. It's the term used in service records so I use it, even though sometimes it gets a little repetitive (same with "appointed to x"). —Simon Harley 11:04, 1 March 2012 (EST)
