Captain (retired) Sydney Francis Sandys Rotch, Royal Navy (24 January, 1873 – 29 November, 1932) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in London, the son of W. D. Rotch, Esq., who would move to Liverpool before his son joined the Navy.

Rotch was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1896.[Fact Check]

Rotch was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1908.

During the war, he was assisting the Captain in Charge, Portland.

Rotch was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Captain at his own request on 1 April, 1919.
