Sidney Reginald Lane

Sidney Reginald Lane, R.N.R. (15 January, 1874 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve. His first name was sometimes offered as "Sydney".
Life & Career
Lane was appointed in command of the hired H.M. yacht Kethailes, and survived her loss to a collision with S.S. Leicestershire in St. George's channel on 11 October, 1917. Two officers and fifteen others were killed. Nine of the eleven survivors were rescued by the patrol boat H.M.S. P 44.[1]
