Lieutenant Samuel Mallin, R.N. (15 August, 1867 – 7 August, 1923) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Mallin was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 1 November, 1895

Mallin was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 1 April, 1912.

Mallin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 4 April, 1917.

Appointed in command of the tugboat Magnet from 28 April, 1919 to 8 July, 1919.

Appointed in command of the trawler Carbosin, from 8 July, 1919 to October, 1920.

Appointed in command of the trawler Robert Cloughton from October, 1920 to 29 November, 1921.

Retired due to age on 12 August, 1922, Mallin was fined one pound at Portsmouth Police Court for possession of public stores on 22 April, 1923. He died later that year.
