Midshipman Ronald Megaw, R.N. (23 December, 1886 – 11 November, 1904) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Megaw died while at general quarters aboard the battleship Montagu on 11 November, 1904. In 1906, his father provided £1000 to fund a prize in his son's name, the Ronald Megaw Memorial Prize, to provide a Presentation Sword and its accoutrements as well as selected books or instruments awarded annually to the Sub-Lieutenant who obtained the highest place during the preceding year in the various examinations prescribed for Officers qualifying for the rank of Lieutenant.
