Vice-Admiral Ronald Howard, R.N. (22 August, 1878 – 24 February, 1959) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Howard was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1901.

Howard was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1912.

Howard was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1918.

Howard was appointed in command of the first class protected cruiser Gibraltar on 27 April, 1920.[1]

In January, 1921 he was thanked for his help in overcoming difficulties caused by interference when "ASDIC" was employed.

Howard was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 31 August, 1929 and was placed on the Retired List the next day. He would be promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral (retired) on 31 July, 1934.
