Commander (retired) Ronald Granville Studd (6 September, 1889 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Studd ranked as tied for 23rd in merit of sixty cadets accepted in the May 1904 intake term at H.M.S. Britannia.[1]

Studd was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1910.

Studd was appointed to General Wolfe as gunnery officer on 21 September, 1915.

Studd was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 September, 1918.

After spending six months overseeing her completion, Studd served as gunnery officer in the new battlecruiser Hood from 1 January, 1921 until he was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 31 December, 1921. He was advanced to the rank of Commander on 6 September, 1924.
