Commander (retired) Robert Neville Stopford, R.N. (4 July, 1888 – 3 November, 1949) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Stopford was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1910.
Stopford was appointed in command of the submarine A 8 in October, 1913.[1]
Stopford was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1918.
On 23 June, 1919, Stopford was appointed in command of the submarine L 15.[2]
Stopford was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 1 October, 1929.
