Rear-Admiral Robert Kyle McAlpine, R.N. (20 January, 1851 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

McAlpine was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1875.

McAlpine was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1889.

McAlpine was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1896.

McAlpine was appointed in command of the second class protected cruiser Hyacinth in May, 1899.

McAlpine was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 14 April, 1905 and subsequently promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral (retired) on 17 November, 1906.
