Robert Fellowes Chisholm
Lieutenant-Commander Robert Fellowes Chisholm, R.N. (4 May, 1884 – 1 December, 1916) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Willesden, the son of R. F. Chisholm, Esq.. Chisholm tied for fifty-third among 62 successful candidates in examinations for entry to the Britannia intake term of September 1899, with 2117 marks.[1]
Chisholm was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1906.[2]
Chisholm was appointed Lieutenant & Commander of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 026 on 19 December, 1908.[3]
As a Lieutenant, Chisholm was appointed in command of the submarine B 3 on 13 May, 1913.[4]
Chisholm was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1914.
Chisholm left B 3 when he was appointed to E 37 on 16 October, 1915, to assume command upon her commissioning.
Chisholm died when his E 37 was lost on 1 December, 1916.[5]
