Life & Career
Wilson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1903.
Great War
Wilson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1915.
Wilson was awarded a D.S.O. for his services in connection with the destruction of the German light cruiser Königsberg on 6 and 11 July, 1915.
Wilson was investigated by a Court of Enquiry on 4 November, 1916 probing deficiencies in stores of H.M.S. Mersey. He was found remiss in not resolving the matter earlier, and that his employment of a G. Goodman, R.N.R., as captain's clerk contributed to a breach of King's Regulations
