Captain Richard Bruce England, D.S.O., R.N., Retired (26 January, 1883 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Ealing, the son of Captain William George England, R.N..

England was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1904.[1]

England was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1912.

England was appointed in command of the destroyer Ostrich on 28 August, 1914.[2]

England was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1917.

On 16 November, 1918, he was appointed in command of the destroyer Vivien.[3]

Post-War

Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 1 November, 1922.

England was promoted to the rank of Captain on 26 January, 1928.

World War II

Reverted to Retired List 5 June 1946.
