Vice-Admiral Richard Bell Davies, V.C., D.S.O., A.F.C., R.N. (19 May, 1886 – 26 February, 1966) served in the Royal Navy.

Early Life & Career

Davies was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1908.[1]

Davies was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1916.

Post-War

Davies was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1919.

Davies was appointed as executive officer of the aircraft carrier Eagle on 3 February, 1920.[2]

Davies was appointed to Royal Sovereign as executive officer on 8 April, 1924.[3]

Davies was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1926.

Davies was appointed in command of the cruiser Frobisher in September, 1928.

Davies was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 11 January, 1938.

World War II

Davies was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 29 May, 1941.
