Lieutenant-Commander Reginald Ernest Marcon, R.N. (20 April, 1879 – 25 February, 1947) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Fleet Paymaster George E. Marcon, R.N. was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Marcon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1901.

Marcon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1909.

On 14 August, 1916, Marcon was relieved of command of H.M.S. Mimosa for "abuse of the powers entrusted to him" in how he punished the men, attracting "severe displeasure".

Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 20 April, 1922.
