Rafe Grenville Rowley-Conwy

Rear-Admiral Rafe Grenville Rowley-Conwy, R.N., Retired (11 September, 1875 – 4 April, 1951) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Rowley-Conwy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 22 June, 1897.

Rowley-Conwy was promoted to the rank of Commander on 22 June, 1911.

Rowley-Conwy was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1916.

He was appointed in command of the flotilla leader Parker in November, 1917.

Post-War

In May, 1921, Rowley-Conwy was appointed in command of the light cruiser Curacoa.

Rowley-Conwy was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 9 June, 1922.

Rowley-Conwy was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on the Retired List on 12 February, 1928.

Rowley-Conwy was appointed in command of the destroyer Mentor on 27 November, 1914.
