Captain (retired) Philip Walter (3 March, 1865 – 28 June, 1942) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Walter was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 November, 1887.[1]
Walter was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1900.[2]
Walter was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 1 April, 1911, but he returned to service to work in censoring. during the War, where Captain Hotham opined that he possessed a "nervous temperament" but performed well.. He reverted to the Retired List on 30 June, 1919.[3]
