Captain Patrick James Cowell, D.S.C.*, R.N. (15 August, 1910 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.

Life & Career

Cowell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1933.[1]

World War II

Cowell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1941.[2]

Cowell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1945.[3]

Cowell was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1951. He retired on 7 January, 1961.[4]
