Rear-Admiral Oswald Henry Dawson, K.B.E., Royal Navy (9 March, 1882 – 11 May, 1950) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Rather than being educated in Britannia, Dawson entered the navy direct from Worcester.[1]
Dawson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1904.[2]
Dawson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1912.[3]
Dawson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1916.[4]
Post-War
Dawson was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1923.[5]
Dawson was appointed in command of the light cruiser Capetown in May, 1926.
In April, 1930, he was appointed in command of the battleship Warspite.
Dawson was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 21 July, 1935.[6]
