Commander (retired) Meredith Stanton Spalding, (17 November, 1895 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Sydney Spalding, Esq., a wholesale stationer.
Spalding was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 November, 1917.
Spalding was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 November, 1925.
Spalding was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 9 March, 1936.
World War II
Drunkeness, reversion to Retired List, eventual Court Martial for drunkeness.
