Malcolm Lennon Goldsmith ( – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Goldsmith, alongside several other Lieutenants, was temporarily appointed additional to the armoured cruiser Sutlej for duty with a Record Party under the auspices of the Inspector of Target Practice, on 3 August, 1910.[1]

Goldsmith was appointed to the battleship Triumph when she recommissioned on 12 January, 1911.[2]

Goldsmith was appointed in command of the destroyer Vixen on 15 June, 1912.[3]

He was appointed in command of the destroyer Laertes on 16 October, 1913.[4]

Goldsmith commanded the destroyer Lydiard at the Battle of Jutland.[5]

On 21 August, 1918, Goldsmith was appointed in command of the flotilla leader Montrose.[6]

He was appointed in command of the flotilla leader Abdiel on 8 August, 1920.[7]

Goldsmith was appointed in command of the light cruiser Conquest in March, 1921,[8] and of the light cruiser Cambrian in August, 1922.[9]
