Rear-Admiral Leonard Stanley Holbrook, M.V.O. (30 March, 1882 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Holbrook was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1902.[1]

Holbrook was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 January, 1910.[2]

Holbrook was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1914.[3]

Holbrook was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1920.[4]

Holbrook was appointed in command of the light cruiser Curlew in November, 1922.

Holbrook was appointed in command of the light cruiser Calliope in December, 1927.

In December, 1928, he was appointed in command of the light cruiser Birmingham.

He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 15 October, 1932 and placed on the Retired List the following day in accordance with Order in Council of 9 March, 1914.[5]

World War II

Holbrook was reverted to the Retired List on 9 February, 1946.[6]
