Admiral SIR Leonard Francis Durnford-Slater, C.B., K.C.B. (9 July, 1902 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Durnford-Slater was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1924.

Durnford-Slater was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 March, 1932.

Durnford-Slater was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1938.

World War II

Durnford-Slater was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1943.

Durnford-Slater was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 January, 1953.

Durnford-Slater was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 12 July, 1956.

Durnford-Slater was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 28 July, 1959.

Retired 12 April, 1961.
