Commander (retired) John Wilfred Scott, D.S.O. (9 November, 1881 – 8 August, 1926) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Son of Reverend A. J. Scott.

Scott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1903.

Scott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1911.

From the outbreak of the war through the end of 1915, Scott was first and gunnery officer in Implacable.

After a brief time in command of Test, he was appointed to Cochrane, in which he finished out the war.

Scott was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1918.[Fact Check]

Chronic dysentery 1922.

Placed on the Retired List as medically unfit on 26 March, 1924.
