Rear-Admiral John Leslie Burr ( – 13 November, 1917) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Burr was promoted to the rank of Commander on 21 June, 1887.
On 27 January, 1891, Burr was appointed to the destroyer Porpoise, additional, to take command when she recommissioned at the China Station.[1]
Burr was promoted to the rank of Captain on 1 January, 1894.
Burr gave up command of the destroyer Porpoise on 11 March, 1894.[2]
Burr was appointed in command of the first class protected cruiser Andromeda on 5 September, 1899.[3]
