Admiral SIR John Franklin Parry, K.C.B., F.R.G.S., Royal Navy, (15 August, 1863 – 21 April, 1926) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Parry was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 20 January, 1885.[1]

Parry was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1899.[2]

Captain

Parry was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1905.[3]

In the King's Birthday Honours of 3 June, 1916, Parry was appointed an Additional Member of the Third Class, or Companion, in the Civil Division of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath (C.B.).[4] He was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 16 June, 1916 upon the vacancy caused by the retirement at his own request of Ernest H. Grafton.[5]

Post-War

Parry was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 1 September, 1919.[6] He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 25 November, 1920,[7] and to Admiral on 24 November, 1925.[8]
