Vice-Admiral John Edmund Drummond, Royal Navy, Retired (5 July, 1873 – 15 November, 1926) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Drummond was made flag captain for Admiral King-Hall on the Australia Station aboard Cambrian on 16 September, 1911.[1]

Drummond was appointed in command of the armoured cruiser Aboukir in August, 1914,[2] and had her sunk from under him on 22 September.

He was swiftly appointed in command of the battleship Illustrious on 31 October, 1914.[3]

In September 1915, he was given command of the first class protected cruiser Europa.[4]
