Vice-Admiral John Augustine Edgell, R.N. (20 December, 1880 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Edgell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 March, 1903.[1]

Edgell was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 March, 1911.

Edgell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1915.

Post-War

Edgell was promoted to the rank of Captain on30 June, 1923.

Edgell was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 3 March, 1935.

Edgell was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 29 November, 1938 and placed on the Retired List the following day.
