Commander (retired) John Arthur Lambert Hay, (28 August, 1877 – 1 May, 1944) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Admiral of the Fleet Lord John Hay was born in 1877. He entered the July 1891 intake term at H.M.S. Britannia after placing first among fifty-nine successful candidates in competitive examinations.[1]

Hay was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in April, 1906.

Hay was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in September, 1917.

Hay was placed on the Retird List at his own request at the rank of Commander in April, 1922.
