Vice-Admiral SIR James Andrew Gardiner Troup, K.B.E., C.B., A.D.C. (7 March, 188311 May, 1975) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the First World War.

Troup was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 16 January, 1935, vice im Thurn.

Troup was a notable contributor to The Naval Review under his initials J.A.G.T.
