The Inspector of Warlike Stores was an appointment at the Admiralty connected with ordnance stores. Little is known about the position, other than that the consolidated salary was £800 per annum.

At some point during the tenure of Chevallier the Inspector of Warlike Stores became an additional Assistant to the Director of Naval Ordnance and Torpedoes.[1] His appointment as such was dated 4 October, 1902.[2]
