Commander Hugh Rose Troup (30 December, 1885 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Troup was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1908.[1]

Troup was appointed Lieutenant & Commander of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 11 on 14 August, 1913.[2]

Great War

Troup was appointed in command of the destroyer Teviot on 16 June, 1914.[3]

Troup was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1916.[4]

On 1 January, 1918, Troup was appointed to Crescent additional for general duties with Commander-in-Chief, Rosyth. He was superseded on 29 July and, on 7 October, 1918 appointed to President, additional, for special service.[5]

Post-war

On 17 January, 1920, Troup was appointed in command of the destroyer Toreador.[6]

Troup was placed on the Retired List with the rank of Commander upon his relief on 18 February, 1926.[7]
