Captain Hugh Merriman Barnes, (21 March, 1893 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Edward B. Barnes, Esq., solicitor.
Barnes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1916.[1]
Barnes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 March, 1924.[2]
Barnes was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1930.[3]
Barnes was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1937.[4]
World War II
Barnes was placed on the Retired List as medically unfit on 2 October 1945.[5]
