Admiral SIR Hilary Gustavus Andoe, K.C.B., Royal Navy (19 February, 1841 – 11 February, 1905) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the latter half of the 19th Century and first few years of the 20th.

CAREER Entered Navy, 1855, as naval cadet; Lieut 1861; Commander, 1872; Captain, 1878; Rear-Admiral, 1894; Vice-Admiral, 1900; was Principal Naval Transport Officer during Boer War, 1881, and also during first Soudan Expedition in the Red Sea; was Flag-Captain to Lord John Hay, Commander-in-Chief of the Mediterranean Fleet; then Inspecting Capt. of Boys’ Training Ships; then Capt. of Dockyard Reserve, Chatham; and Admiral-Supt of Chatham Dockyard, 1895–99. Decorated: Baltic; Egyptian Medal and Star, with Soudan clasp; Queen’s Jubilee Medal; Royal Humane Society’s Medal
