Vice-Admiral (retired) Herbert William Sumner Gibson, Royal Navy (22 April, 1846 – 7 July, 1923) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Gibson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 5 September, 1867.

Gibson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1880.

Gibson was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1888.

Placed on the Retired List on account of age on 22 April, 1901, he was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 11 August, 1901.

Domville was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 4 December, 1905.
