Rear-Admiral Herbert Neville Garnett, C.M.G., R.N. (5 August, 1875 – ) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the First World War.

Life & Career

As a Commander, Garnett was appointed in command of the destroyer Foresight on 14 June, 1912.[1]

Garnett was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1914.

He was placed in command of the monitor H.M.S. Roberts in May 1915.[2]

In June 1916, he relieved Henry Tritton Buller in command of the second class protected cruiser Highflyer.

Post-war

He assumed command of the armoured cruiser Carnarvon in January 1921.
