Henry Gerald Elliot Lane

Rear-Admiral (retired) Henry Gerald Elliot Lane, C.B.E., R.N. (27 March, 1875 – 26 January, 1946) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Lane was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 22 June, 1897.

Lane was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1908.

Lane was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1915.

In July 1916, he was appointed in command of the light cruiser Carysfort.

He was appointed command of the light cruiser Ceres in April, 1918.[1]

Post-War

Retired at own request on 14 July 1922.

Lane was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 July, 1926.
