Admiral Harry Seawell Frank Niblett, C.V.O., Royal Navy, Retired (31 October, 1852 – 26 December, 1939) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Niblett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 March, 1874.[1]

Niblett was promoted to the rank of Commander on 1 January, 1887.[2]

Niblett was appointed Commander of the battleship Victoria, flag ship of the Mediterranean Station, on 14 November, 1889.[3]

He was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1892.[4]

Flag Rank

Niblett was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 January, 1905, vice Hammet.[5] On the occasion of the King's inspection of the Home Fleet he was appointed a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) on 3 August, 1907.[6]

He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 5 November, 1908, vice May.[7] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, 1903, he was placed on the Retired List, at his own request, on 27 April, 1910.[8]

He was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 20 March, 1913.[9]
